Just something that I thought would be interesting.

I understand that only one seed of each type is hardly a fair comparison.

HYPOTHEIS
This is a two part experiment.
The first part is to compare pepper seeds grown in soil compared to pepper seeds grown hydroponically.
​The second part is to compare old seeds grown in soil as to the fresh seeds in the the first part.


MATERIALS
Soil and starter plugs as per experiment #1
SEEDS all seeds one per pot except as noted.

First part of experiment
Pepper    Cabernet Red             McKenzie    2018 - for hydroponic
Pepper    California Wonder    McKenzie    2018 - for hydroponic
Pepper    Cabernet Red             McKenzie    2018 - for soil
Pepper    California Wonder    McKenzie    2018 - for soil
Note:      2018 seeds labeled by McKenzie as being Heirloom

METHOD
Picture
Soaked starter plugs in a solution of 0 2 1 Super B .  This time because soil as light fertilizer in it
Planted seeds one per pot or one per starter plug (2018 seeds only) except for cucumber seeds which were 5 per pot.
​Place under ‘greenhouse cover’ in plastic tray

​Place under grow light.

15 Feb - Cucumber Lemon 4 seeds spouted - 12 Days

22 Feb - Soil California Wonder Pepper sprouted - 21 Days
                Soil Cabernet Red sprouted - 21 Days

26 Feb - Hydroponic California Wonder Pepper sprouted - 23 Days
CONCLUSION
Now to wait and see what happens.
