WOW HAS IT BEEN THAT LONG SINCE I POSTED SOMETHING?
Ok let me try this again and hopefully I will keep it up. I am going to try and post an entry every day from now on. Of course I can not, at this time, even have an idea what the entry will be about but no doubt some boring aspect of my ongoing life.
I may as well start off with today’s events.
Today’s forecast is a freezing rain warning so it was up bright and early and off to Johnson’s Antiques in Cornwall https://www.johnsonsantiques.com to order new dining room furniture to go into the new extensions. Because we had made a previous visit to determine if their furniture would be suitable, which it turned out was, we, meaning Heather, had made a list of what it was that we required, Consequently it was simply a matter of double checking and placing the order, one dining room table 7 feet by 40 inches and 1 1/2 inch thick. The table will seat eight, plus two extensions which puts the seating capacity to fourteen, six chairs and two 4 foot benches to go with the table. Four bar stools for the kitchen/dining room island were also added. Heather determined that the total cost was less than the cost of an inferior table from any major department store.
Just as we were leaving Johnson’s a very light rain began to fall. By the time we reached home it was raining only slightly harder but it must have been raining for a little while because there was ice on the ground. It looks as if the freezing rain had started but stopped. So far it has not restarted.
I think I will now start to do a bit more editing on the renovation photos that I took and may get Wendy to send me some of the ones that she took and put them up on the new Renovations heading.
