This type of weather reminds me of my time in London, England when from November until March it was cold and damp. The sun would only come out occasionally to try and warm things up. While the temperatures rarely dipped below freezing the damp air went right into your bones. That is the way it is here today. i took a walk up to Home Hardware and was glad that I had my winter coat on.
Luc the Electrician was in and did some final touchups and the electrical inspector gave him a pass. Gary the HVAC fellow was in and installed the stove so now the kitchen is all set to go. The only thing that has to be done to finish it off is to put up the crown moulding which is scheduled for the 18th and that should be the end of it. Cleaners and floor finishers are in Monday to tidy up and put the floors in order.
We have the go ahead to bring things in from the garage for the basement so that will be a job for the weekend. We don’t want to bring any of the other things in until everything is cleaned and the floor done. That will probably be a big job next weekend.
“The Girls” are quite happy with the kitchen sink and granite counter tops. Now they will just have to figure out where to put everything once they have the ok for that.
i am still doing a bit of research on the old family and trying to find out some mysterious information but things seem to be coming together. It can become very confusing when brothers name there children the same i.e. Bill names his first born John and his brother Jim also names his first born John (after their father) and the sons are either the same age or a year’s difference, even sisters do the same thing. And of course fathers naming their first born after themselves. The split can be very confusing and you have to ensure that you stay on the right branch. Then of course there are all the people with the same names that are not related or distant relatives.
