I may have made an error, and the same one I have been making for a great number of years, in my posting about my experience of moving from a country school to Merritton. It appears as if the original school I started in is now the Jordan Christian School which is located on Fifteenth Street and would be in the appropriate area and distance from my grandfather's farm. The error that I have continually been making is that it was not a one room school during the 40s but may have been a two or three room school house. Even with two or three rooms there were several grades in one room which would allow for the whispering between pupils.
