At 12:30 we were back on board and our purchases placed in the safe hands of the ship. Alcohol is not allowed to be brought on board and as we had purchased two bottles of tequila it had to be placed in storage until our departure. As all our purchases were in one bag it was just as easy to put everything in safe custody.
After lunch in the Windjammer Buffet, the main dining room is closed when the ship is in port, we spent the day lounging on the pool deck. I did, however, manage to get in a 2.37 Kms jog around deck ten. The map shows me running around the water but there really was a ship under me.
The show in the Masquerade Theatre was entitled “Boogie Wonderland” and a wonderland of sight and sound it was. The entertainment on board is never ending and at times difficult to decide on just what you wanted to see.
Tonight was our second formal dinner and again it was a pleasure to see so many people in all of their finery.
All afternoon we had been hearing about tonight’s main dish was a favourite among the regular passengers - Fisherman’s Platter of lobster and shrimp. The lobster portion consisted of three grilled small warm water lobster tails split in half along with four large shrimp. The waiter gave both of us a double portion! Wendy could not eat all of her’s so of course I forced myself to finish what she could not. With meals like that and waiters who had no problem in giving out extra portions it is no wonder that people, in the words of one of the comedians; “enter as guests and leave as cargo.”
After supper we were off to the Schooner Bar for a drink to wind out the night
