I decided to put the daily cruise information in with the photos rather than in the blog.
Day two of the cruise was spent at sea and the two of us exploring parts of the ship and just generally relaxing.
I even tried a bit of jogging around the track on deck 10. It was just a bit of a rough go considering that the ship was travelling at 22 knots and there was a wind about 45 degrees off the bow so at times it was running into a pretty stiff headwind. I put up the GPS map of the run and it is different that I thought it would be. I thought it would be a bit or a straight line and then a wobble in it to show that I was looping around but it is just a straight line and of course I did not really run the distance shown. On any future cruises if I try this kind of thing I will keep track of the number of laps that I do - that way I will know just how far I did travel.
After the jog it was just about time for lunch in the main dining room:
Bill - Beef Capaccio (thinly sliced beef and vegetables - delicious)
Wendy - Empanada (also delicious)
Of course we had a starter and dessert.
In the afternoon we did not get very far with our further exploration - just as far as the Solarium Deck with the indoor pool and hot tubs!
The weather took a turn for the better in the afternoon, the dull and dreariness cleared away and the wind dropped to a much calmer pace. This made it quite pleasant to lay about on the deck after exiting the Solarium.
It was then time to dress for the Formal Dinner. I actually did enjoy getting all dressed up for a change and of course it was extra nice to see Wendy looking so elegant.
Dinner:
Bill - Carved Filet Mignon (done to perfection)
Wendy - Corvina which is a delicious white fish
and of course a starter and dessert
It was then off to enjoy the entertainment in the Centrum and an early evening to be ready for our Roatan tour the following morning.
Daily Stats:
Position: 22.55.68N 084.51.46W
Sailed: 340 Nautical miles
