Getting caught up again

Once again it has been a couple of days since I did an update.  However, all is not lost.
FRIDAY (09th) - bought the paint to paint the three upstairs bedrooms once the patch-up work is completed.  I will be happy when that is done because I will be getting my ‘man cave’ back again.
SATURDAY (10th) - sadly a remembrance ceremony for one of the DFAIT Old FARTS.  A fine man and a wonderful technician whom I had the pleasure of working with in London, England.  that makes three old friends who have passed away in the last six weeks.  Because of the temperance ceremony I missed the Ottawa Hash House Harriers’ (OH3) WinterRude run in the afternoon but did make it to the festivities in the evening.  Wendy and I arrived just in time to catch the circle and were duly punished for being late.
TODAY (11th) - OH3 WinterRude Brunch at Malone’s on Dow’s Lake.
My “garden” seems to be progressing nicely although I think some of my beans are not doing well.  In fact one seed rotted in the rock wool so I replanted that one as well as one more seed for each of the three types that I am trying to grow hydroponically.  I also moved the Stringless Green Pod Bean into a hydroponic container, a Tim Hortons coffee container also a Cimmarron Lettuce to the same set up and a Salad Bowl lettuce to an empty Cascade container.
We had an invitation for supper at “The Farm” but because of the freezing rain warning we decided not to take a chance and declined the offer.
Updated my 1st Experiment because the Brandywine tomato, in soil, has sprouted.  That makes 3 in the soil; Brandywine, Black Cherry and Bonny Best and only two in hydroponics; Brandywine and Bonny Best.  Also some random lettuce seeds have also sprouted after only five days.  When I was sorting out my seeds after they were all put away I found some lettuce seeds just laying about.  Rather than throw them out or put them back in a package (I had no idea what variety there were) I just decided to stick them in a hydroponic rock wool starter cube and see what happens.  it will be interesting to see what variety turns up.
