Well it is two days in a row so things may be looking up.
I am trying to figure out how to put up the weather data from the previous day. The forecast is easy enough to do but I would like to put up the actual results as well. Perhaps I will put them on “today’s” results as well as a copy on the original forecast as well.
It has happened. We did get our first snow fall and it looks as if it might just stick around. In previous years it seemed to be a light dusting for a couple of times and then it would melt away and then one day, usually in December, it would finally stay. Last nights snowfall appears to want to stick around for a little while and no above freezing temperatures until Wednesday it may just do that.
Off to “The Farm” for Sunday dinner later in the day. I hope the driving is going to be ok. The roads should be clear by then. When we were coming back from Johnson’s yesterday I saw a salt truck on highway 416 laying it down. The city or whoever did not seem to be taking any chances on the forecasted freezing rain.
It appears as if we have a shortage of winter boots. I thought that all of the winter boots had been placed in one truck and stored in the garage. Because of the renovations everything that was in the garage was stored neatly outside. Well of course where we stored it turned out to be in the way of construction. That and we were told once the new garage was built everything could be moved back in. Well that didn’t work out either because everything on the main floor and basement had to be removed and put in the garage. Everything that could be was then packed into boxing, just like moving day, and shifted to the new garage. A team of ‘workers’ was moved it to shift all of the things that were originally in the garage to the back of the yard. Well, they certainly did not know the meaning of stack everything nice and neat. Consequently everything was just placed willy-nilly and nothing can be found. It turns out that the trunk I thought all of the winter boots were in didn’t have them. There were some winter things, skates and my hiking boots that I wore in the winter were there but no big winter boots! There fore The ‘girls’ have no winter foot wear. Luckily Harath had purchased new boots last month so he and are are more or lass shod. Now I just have to dry out my hiking boots. The joys of winter never cease.
